I am beyond excited to be a Boger Beacon! As a member of this administration team, I plan to work collaboratively with teachers, parents, families, and the community to do what is best for our students. I am a Cabarrus County native and graduated from Appalachian State University with a B.S. Degree in Elementary Education. For 16 years, I served as a classroom teacher of 3rd and 4th grade at Mount Pleasant Elementary School here in Cabarrus County. While in the classroom, I pursued my National Board Certification and a Master's Degree in Reading Education K-12 from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. I loved every minute of being in the classroom with my students, but my true passion is educational leadership. I was fortunate to be chosen by the County to attend the High Point University Leadership Academy where I earned a Master's Degree in Educational Leadership. Since graduating my program, I spent time working at Northwest Cabarrus High School and Central Cabarrus High School as an interim Assistant Principal. My first two years as a full time Assistant Principal were spent at Charles E. Boger Elementary School, before I was asked to go and help open a brand new school in our County. My first year as principal of Boger during the 2022-2023 school year was a wonderful experience. I am looking forward to many more here at Boger! Our school community is full of wonderful people, working towards a common goal. Let's work together to make this the most amazing year for our students!

I am Cyndal Brenneman and I am so excited to be joining the Boger Team! I am from Harrisburg, NC and a Cabarrus County Graduate. Following high school, I went to UNC-Charlotte and earned my degree in Elementary Education. From there I taught 3rd and 4th grade at Bethel Elementary for 6 ½ years. During that time, I received my Master’s Degree in Reading Education (K-12).
In 2014, I transitioned to Rocky River Elementary where I was a Multi-Classroom Leader for Kindergarten and 1st. I stayed at Rocky River as the Multi-Classroom Leader until August of 2022. During my time as a Multi-Classroom Leader, I was over Kindergarten, 1st, 3rd, 4th, and 5th.
In 2021, I was named a Principal Fellow and began my Master’s in School Administration. In August of 2022, I became the principal intern at Roberta Road Middle School.
My husband and I have 2 beautiful girls who are in 1st and 4th grade at Boger. In my spare time, I enjoy running, football (Go Panthers!), and spending time with my family.
I look forward to shining bright with you all!

I am thrilled to serve the Boger community as an Assistant Principal! After graduating from Virginia Tech with a bachelor degree in Family and Child Development and Early Childhood Education, I taught both Kindergarten and 4th grade before stepping out of the classroom to raise my own children. During this time, I stayed involved in early childhood education as a Senior Program Director with the Y. I joined the Cabarrus County family in 2016 as a substitute teacher here at Boger and returned to teaching full time in 2019. During that time I taught both second and third grade. In May 2023, I graduated from Queens University of Charlotte with a Masters in Educational Leadership.
When I’m not at school, you can usually find me reading a good book, spending time with friends and family, or at one of my children’s many activities. My husband, Chris, and I have three children, who are students at Northwest Cabarrus High School and Appalachian State University.
I look forward to working with the families and students here at Boger as we continue to Shine Bright!
